How It Works Statewide
Michigan's home care programs are run county by county, which can make it hard to know where to start. Bluelake knows the system statewide.
Handled by your county MDHHS office. We help you complete the application and the doctor's certification so care is not delayed.
For adults who medically qualify for nursing home care but want to stay home. Your regional Area Agency on Aging can tell you about the waiver agency for your county.
Usually arranged through your county's community mental health agency or a Medicaid waiver. We coordinate with your case manager.
Because a relative can be the paid caregiver, our Family Caregiver Program works in big cities and rural townships alike.
