Personal careWayne County · Southeast Michigan
Detroit families have always taken care of their own, and many adult children here are already helping a parent with bathing, meals, and getting to appointments while working full time. Bluelake helps Detroit families keep loved ones at home, whether that means a trained caregiver for a few hours a day or getting paid through Medicaid for the care you already give.

Respite careMedicaid-funded support to stay active and independent at home and in the Detroit community.
Community Living SupportsMany Detroit seniors live in the same home they have owned for decades, often with stairs, a single upstairs bathroom, and a basement laundry. Our caregivers help make those homes work: safe transfers, bathing support, and keeping daily tasks on the main floor. In winter, we plan visits around snow and ice so care is not interrupted.
If your loved one is being discharged from Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Medical Center, Ascension St. John Hospital, or another Detroit-area hospital, ask the discharge planner about help at home and call us before discharge day. Non-medical home care can start right away and work alongside any home health nursing or therapy the doctor orders. Home care vs. home health care, explained.
